When he was approached about providing a new sound system for St Eugene’s, David Dalzell of DL Electronics, thought it would be the ideal opportunity to try out the Intellivox, a product he had been tracking the progress of for some time. A demonstration quickly followed. "It is very rare to please all of the people all of the time in this industry, however, on this occasion the architect, client and consultant all quickly agreed that an Intellivox solution was the way forward." Throughout the project DL worked closely with consultant engineers Dellap & Waller, architect Joe Tracey and acoustic consultant Peter Lloyd of Lloyd Sound to ensure that the new system would not only provide excellent speech intelligibility, but also have a minimal architectural impact in what is an extremely impressive structure.
