Spain - Cadac Consoles is celebrating its return to UK manufacturing with the unveiling of the first UK sample CM-J50 consoles and CM-SR stage racks off the production line at ISE 2025. Two UK-built CM-J50s will be running live on the stand debuting the latest V2.0 CM-J software and a number of significant hardware improvements inherent in the UK production version of the desk.
James Godbehear, director of marketing and business operations, says: “ISE 2025 marks the first showcase of UK-built CM-J50 consoles, together with a full range of CM system components also manufactured in the UK. The new ‘designed and manufactured in the UK’ consoles also introduce a number of hardware improvements that we are sure will be widely welcomed by prospective customers, and further enhance the specification of this uniquely high-performing mixing console.”
The upgrades include improved touchscreens, now rated at 800 nits, new faders with majorly improved responsiveness and integrated dust guards, and brighter OLEDs that feature auto dimming when the console is idle. Improvements to the analogue card’s audio performance lowers the noise floor even further, while the internal PSUs are now medical grade.
Simultaneously the launch of V2.0 console software pushes the envelope further in extending the CM ecosystem; in particular with respect to control integration of the powerful new CM-RT12 router.
The decision to reshore Cadac Consoles production to the UK, after 10 years of production in parent company Soundking Group’s Ningbo HQ, was announced during last year’s ISE Show: “The decision was wholly strategic,” confirms Godbehear. “Bringing manufacturing within immediate proximity to our R&D and operational teams clearly enables a small and highly integrated boutique audio engineering operation like ourselves to improve communication and cooperation between design and build, facilitate faster turnaround times, and enable a more agile response to market dynamics and customer feedback.
“Following the reveal of our rebrand and the launch of the CM-J50 at ISE last year, the manufacturing move was the final step in phase one of our holistic strategy for Cadac Consoles.”
Godbehear says: “We are inviting everyone attending ISE 2025 to visit our booth 7G100 and experience the latest evolution of what we proudly consider is the world’s best-sounding, most operationally intuitive and agile digital console.”
