The DCN conferencing system is installed in ISESCO's main conference room, which has a capacity of up to 230 participants. With more than 50 member states - mostly Islamic countries - ISESCO frequently hosts large meetings that require simultaneous interpretation of Arabic, English and other European languages. The DCN system, including a channel selector, was recommenced by INES after extensive examination of ISESCO's requirements and because of the location. The choice was made on the basis of the system's proven efficiency, flexibility and user-friendliness, as well as Bosch's strong worldwide reputation and customer services.
Key features of the DCN Next Generation system include innovative transmission via a non-complex and robust network infrastructure combined with a complete range of Discussion Units. The configuration ensures optimal audio quality for speech intelligibility and simplified installation and operation. All possible conference facilities are provided for, including discussion, electronic voting, interpretation of up to 32 channels, remote interpretation, wireless reception, attendance registration and access control, video display, audio expansion and logging, and Internet participation.
