"I am convinced that there is an abundance of design opportunities and new business in the national and international architectural and display lighting market for a highly creative experienced new company," says Wadsworth.
Lightinc will concentrate its efforts in three main areas: Projects - Independent lighting design and supply projects, including electrical installation, focusing, commissioning and maintenance of the lighting system; Products - The design and development of a range of lighting products. Wadsworth intends to develop these fittings to suit the requirements of the lighting specification market, along with products designed for specific lighting applications; Lectures - A series of regular lighting educational lectures, involving senior figures from the lighting industry speaking in depth on particular light sources, design techniques and applications.
Lightinc is located adjacent to Tower Bridge close to the centre of London, and housed in in its new studio overlooking the river Thames, comprising office/showroom/presentation suite and product development workshop.
Lightinc's team includes Michael Gallagher, whom Wadsworth has known for over 30 years. Gallagher's extensive lighting product design experience, technical knowledge and support provides considerable weight to Lightinc's product design services.
Mark Beecroft, who trained in spatial design, is Lightinc's creative IT specialist - and trainee lighting designer.
"This is an opportunity for me to fulfil my creative aims and ambitions and to participate in challenging and imaginative lighting projects along with the design of unique range of lighting fittings," says Wadsworth. I will also take this opportunity to offer educational services to lighting consultants, architects, engineers, interior designers and students."
