Through the use of Constant Coverage waveguide design, claims JBL, the Control 300 models feature "exceptionally broadband pattern control, ensuring remarkably consistent sound throughout the listening space". The 8" model goes a step further with the addition of a 12" diameter waveguide, providing the pattern control of a 12" horn from an 8" driver.
The Control 300 models were designed to be easier to install than most large format ceiling speakers. The new EZ-Rail feature provides a "helping hand" to hold the loudspeaker in place while fastening, often eliminating the need for a second installer. In addition, the same multi-pin connector as used in the smaller Control Contractor models allows for pre-wiring with simple click-on connection during installation.
Additionally, JBL Professional is now offering its successful VRX portable line array series in white installation versions. "Significant interest" from specifiers and permanent installation contractors who work with civic facilities and house-of-worship venues has led to the development of the established VRX system models in white: VRX932LA-WH and VRX918S-WH.
"While high-quality audio is the foundation of JBL's enduring success, we also realise the importance of having powerful, high-fidelity sound in a visually discreet package," said Ted Leamy, director, engineered sound marketing, JBL Professional. "JBL is committed to providing a complete solution to its customers, part of which includes having a variety of options for different market applications, especially when it comes to the aesthetics of a system."
