John Colley takes on the role of general manager following the retirement of Tommy Moran.
UK - ARRI Lighting Rental, a leading supplier of professional lighting equipment, has appointed John Colley in the role of general manager, following the retirement of managing director Tommy Moran at the end of 2013.

Reporting to Martin Cayzer, CEO of ARRI's global rental business, Colley will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, as well as expanding its service to all types of feature film, television and commercial productions in the UK and across Europe.

Moran will continue working with ARRI Lighting Rental in the post of consultant, supporting Colley with the transition into his new role.

Colley is a veteran of the industry with a well-regarded reputation as a lighting gaffer. His experience spans 15 years, working on productions such as 24 Hour Party People, Breaking and Entering, Eastern Promises, The Duchess, Never Let Me Go, Made in Dagenham, A Dangerous Method, Under The Skin, The Railwayman, Cuban Fury, The Worlds End and A Little Chaos.

Cayzer says: "John's experiences and personal style equip him well for the challenges ahead, and I am confident that he will build upon the strong foundation that Tommy has built to ensure ARRI Lighting Rental continues to deliver for its clients, both now and in the future."

Commenting on his appointment, Colley says: "I am looking forward to building on Tommy's legacy and to leading the company as we forge ahead. The people in place are committed and dedicated. Together we will carry on driving through improvements with a renewed commitment to service and a great client experience."
