UK / UAE - The recent PALME 2005 show launched James Thomas Engineering's PixelRange officially into the Middle East lighting market with their newly appointed distributor - Avolites ME. Avolites had one of the largest stands at the PALME show and certainly the best entrance position to demonstrate the PixelLine and PixelDrive system to all visitors entering the show, say JTE.

This even included a royal seal of approval on the second day, when before the show opened Avolites received a royal visit to the stand by HH Sheikh Hassan Lottah with his entourage and Dubai TV crew. As a customer of Avolites, the Sheikh personally chatted with Avolites MD Tony Shembish regarding the show's activities and once the royal party had left - the show opened to trade professionals.

Avolites designed their impressive PALME stand around the LED PixelRange. The PixelDrive software running the PixelLine 1044s was definitely the focal point of the show for Avolites. And the demand for the PixelDrive Software demonstrations was high throughout the three days. Tony Cameron, PixelRange European sales manager, said: "The response to PixelDrive and PixelRange was phenomenal, much more than I had forecast. This show has guaranteed us big business in the Middle East, not just in Dubai but many of the surrounding territories as far as Pakistan."

He continued: "The lighting sector is growing rapidly in Dubai and the Middle East in general due to the massive construction boom over here. The PALME show was the right expo to officially launch our partnership with Avolites in the Middle East. Avolites have definitely proved at this show they are the professional operation that we want representing us in the region. They have an excellent reputation as a company and we made excellent sales at the show. They are the perfect advocates to make PixelRange the number one choice for LED lighting in the Middle East."

The Middle East's sound and lighting market is estimated to be worth $2bn pa over the next five years. JTE PixelRange has ensured they will see a good portion of this business by appointing Avolites as its Middle East dealer, say the company.
