The concert will mark Julie Andrews's first performance on a UK stage in 30 years. "To perform once again in my homeland on the London stage will be a wonderful moment - it is where it all began for me, and I am so excited to be able to share a brand new work with audiences," says Andrews.
Capital Sound, the London sound provider that has supported such performances as Il Divo and Kylie Minogue, will return to the O2 with a Meyer Sound system based on 36 MIlo line array loudspeakers and 16 700-HP subwoofers. The system also includes side-flown arrays of MIca and M'elodie line array loudspeakers, and groundstacked M'elodie, UPM-1P, JM-1P arrayable loudspeakers, and additional 700-HP subwoofers. John Pellowe, Meyer Sound's Constellation project director and sound engineer for the late Luciano Pavarotti, will perform FOH duties for the concert.
