It's for this reason that our awards exist. To bestow praise and reward on music which matters, which so rarely gets acclaim from outside its own scene. I can't wait to see who the fans - who are the bedrock of everything good about everything Kerrang! does - vote to gain immortality this year."

The 1930's art deco venue has also seen a wave of renovations in 2013 including a new carpet and the refurbishment of eight backstage dressing rooms and creation of two production suites, also backstage. Further work will be carried out on the front of the venue later in the year with the plan to restore its original features in time for its 80th anniversary celebration.
