Schouw & Co's statement said: "Martin Professional is facing a number of vital challenges. Many new initiatives have already been launched, and several long-term measures are currently being considered. Recognising the long-term perspective of this process of change, Kristian Kolding believes that now is the time to hand over the reins to a new top executive."
Schouw & Co also expressed their understanding and their full respect for Kolding's decision, and will now initiate a process aimed at finding and appointing a new managing director.
Kolding says he believes this is the right moment to hand over the reins to a new executive. He says: "These past six years at the helm of Martin have been the most challenging and rewarding years of my long career. You cannot help being fascinated by the company's products, markets, and staff. !Martin simply gets in your blood! I am totally convinced that Martin - with a new hand on the wheel - will develop to the shared benefit and pleasure of both its partners and its staff and owners."
