Saville's Hull office has recently added 14 KV2 Audio EX10 two-way, full-range, active enclosures, all of which have joined Hull's existing four stacks of KV2 ES Series in time for the current 15-week, televised, Premier League tour for the Professional Darts Corporation.
The tour attracts live arena audiences of up to 8,000 per night and is transmitted live on Sky Sports channel. The KV2 Audio system provides the main sound requirement for each event, from the warm-ups, player walk-ons, referee decisions and TV announcements.
A double KV2 ES Series stack either side of the stage, each comprising of two flown ES1.0 three-way cabinets and two ground-stacked ES2.5 double 15" high output subwoofers, with active control and amplification via KV2 EPAK 2500 active management systems, provide the front of house system. The 14 EX10 enclosures are flown over the audience area to manage the distributed delay system.
Saville Hull's Steve Ryan, commented: "We've used the KV2 Audio system on such a wide variety of events since we've had it and it's so reliable and compact, with such a powerful sound. The Professional Darts Corporation is extremely happy with it again on this tour and it made sense to add the new EX10s to the system - we'll get so much use from them."
Saville Newcastle conference & events branch, under the guiding eye of Sara McKenzie, has also taken on a further stock of KV2 Audio. McKenzie commented, "As a group we try to be consistent in buying the same equipment across the division. All of our technical crew are confident in the system and enjoy working with it. After we purchased the first system everyone was excited to hear we wanted to invest in more of the range."
At Newcastle, Saville has added eight EX10s to complement the six EX6 size-defying two-way full range speakers and two KX1.2 single 12"subwoofers currently held in stock. The new EX10 additions will be used on numerous and varied events, just as the current KV2 system.
