Technical production manager Mark Oakland comments, “Here at Quadrant we took the decision to replace the speakers in our hire stock. These are the workhorses of our hire fleet, going in and out of venues on a daily basis.
“Having looked at many manufacturers and models we turned to KV2 who visited us and showed us the ESD range. Our technicians put the speakers to the test and found the size, weight and - most importantly – the sound quality was just what we were looking for.”
Products from the passive ESD range were chosen for their versatility and ability to seamlessly fit in with the way Quadrant currently operates. The passive delay and cross-over networks within ESD top boxes allow Quadrant to quickly utilise as many or as few boxes as needed from existing powered desks for conferences with no additional DSP.
“The ESD 5 and ESD 25 will service our venues really well, with their compact design and brilliant sound quality.” Mark continues, “For the larger events the ESD 10 and EX 1.2mkII subwoofer will fill the vast majority of venues that we work in. We felt the design and build quality were just what we were looking for and once our decision was made we couldn’t wait to get them out on our jobs and events.”
Quadrant took a large quantity of KV2 kit delivered from UK stock including 20 x ESD 5, 28 x ESD 25, 12 x ESD 10, four EX 1.2mkII and four ESP 2000.
