Russia - Rental company Live Sound Agency is enjoying an extremely busy autumn/winter season following its recent investment in 32 Lab.gruppen Powered Loudspeaker Management (PLM) systems earlier in the year. The PLM devices, which are used to power their L'Acoustics V-DOSC rig, were supplied by Lab.gruppen's Moscow-based Russian distributor, I.S.P.A.

Live Sound Agency's Yuriy Sokolov reports: "The combination of one of the world's greatest system processors, Dolby Lake, with the tried and tested amplifier technology from Lab.gruppen in one single device is a stroke of genius. There is no discomfort for the user in that everything is already familiar to him and there is a good preset library to work from initially. After that, it's easy to customise if necessary. The result is that you are efficient straight away because your time is spent tuning the system, and not having to learn new software."

PLM is now the main amplifier for Live Sound Agency, and their L'Acoustics V-DOSC PA system is built on it. So far this autumn, Live Sound Agency has provided the PA for Deep Purple, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Santana and Rod Stewart. One of the most recent shows was a Deep Purple concert for 20,000 people at the Olympic Stadium (Olimpisky) in Moscow. Live Sound Agency provided a total of 64 V-DOSC cabinets and 32 SB 28 subs, all powered by 32 Lab.gruppen PLM 10000Q systems. The Offspring, Scorpions and Prodigy will be the next acts to benefit from Live Sound Agency's supercharged PLM-powered PA system.
