Powered by three Fohhn D-4.750 Class D amplifiers, the entire system has been networked and can be remotely controlled from a laptop running Fohhn Audio Soft 3.0 control software.
Supplied by Fohhn's UK distributor Systems Workshop, the new system was installed just in time for the University's 2010 graduation ceremonies. Low Fold director Mark Burford commented, "The Great Hall is used for both speech applications and musical events, so we needed a system that can enhance speech intelligibility as well as providing even front to back coverage.
"The LX-150s have amazing clarity and throw and the sound on the balcony is stunning. The SPL is actually more than you'd need for a venue of this size, but the system runs really efficiently with plenty of headroom."
