The venue owners called in Telesonic Valencia to design a new sound system that would offer the club's guests top-of-the-line sound quality. Francisco Planells, a local sound professional whose extensive experience in projects at a range of venues makes him well acquainted with the qualities of D.A.S. professional sound systems, headed the project.
Because La 57 serves a dual purpose -the space is dedicated to dance classes in the mornings and afternoons and turns into a nightclub at night and on weekends- a versatile sound system was a must. Faced with this challenge, Planells and the Telesonic Valencia sound team analysed the venue and recommended designing a sound system drawn from D.A.S. Audio's powered Artec 500 series.
Four groups of systems were brought in for the central dance floor, each composed of an Artec S15A subwoofer stacked on an Artec 510A system. These four blocks of systems cover the entire perimeter of the dance floor, while four Artec 508A systems angled toward this central area ensure superb, uniform sound day and night.
The system is rounded out with a powered D.A.S. DR-512A system, called into duty as a sound monitor in the booth used both to control the entire lighting and sound system as well as for the number of guest DJs who perform at La 57.
