LDI will ‘showcase the future’
USA - The LDI trade show is enhancing its offering this November with an emphasis on the next generation of design and technology, including AR/VR, drones, live for broadcast, and experiential design.
Organisers say that these  technologies and disciplines will shape the future of live events and are therefore placing LDI as the place to discover what’s hot and what’s next. More details on these new subjects will be unveiled once registration officially opens in July.
The 32nd edition of this entertainment design and technology trade show and conference runs 18-24 November 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
“We’re excited to look to the next 30 years of LDI, developing the trade show into a multi-layered series of events where designers, programmers, technicians and other artisans can experience not only the best in live production today, but also learn about where live production is headed tomorrow,” says David Johnson, managing director of LDI and the Live Experience Group. “These new initiatives, coupled with our industry standard professional training and the coolest-looking show floor in this or any market, will make LDI the must-attend industry event for years to come.”
More than 15,000 industry professionals are expected to descend upon Las Vegas this November to check out more than 350 exhibitors showcasing technologies and services for live event production. In addition, they will have access to the conference and professional training programmes.
LDI will officially open with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11am on Friday, 22 November, with the exhibition hall open from 22-24 November. A series of additional events are also scheduled as part of the week-long LDI show, including the LDInstitute and LDIntensives and the LDInnovation Conference.
LDI: Live Outside features audio, sound and staging systems for outdoor events and festivals. LDI Amplify will see leading audio manufacturers showcase the latest live sound solutions, and delivering training sessions and seminars.
