USA - Hive, a specialist media control manufacturer, is making its debut at LDI 2024. The show will serve as the stage for Hive’s latest innovation, Nucleus, a compact, rack-mountable 1U media player designed ‘to redefine affordability and scalability in live events and fixed installations’. Hive will exhibit alongside its exclusive distributor, Show Sage, at booth 2123, where attendees can experience live product demonstrations and explore the Hive ecosystem.
The Nucleus media player combines powerful functionality with a sleek, portable design, featuring a 1U rack-mountable chassis with dual SDM sockets that support all of Hive’s Beeblade computing modules, including Minima, Osmia and Pluto.
Built with a machined aluminium chassis, the Nucleus is engineered to withstand the rigours of touring while maintaining the portability and reliability required for both live events and fixed installations. Proven in high-profile projects – including live music tours and festivals such as Rita Ora, TEMS and Electric Picnic – the Nucleus demonstrates its reliability and versatility in both creative and technical environments.
Designed for portability and flexibility, it integrates seamlessly with control room setups while maintaining ease of use for live event scenarios. Available immediately, the Nucleus bridges the gap between Hive’s compact Beeblade modules and the larger Beehive system, offering a scalable and adaptable solution for AV professionals.
Hive’s founders Dave Green, Trey Harrison and Mark Calvert will join sales director Nigel Sadler and business development consultant Sarah Cox at LDI.
“We are thrilled to debut at LDI and launch Nucleus, which represents a significant leap forward in accessible media playback technology,” said Mark Calvert, co-founder and managing director of Hive. “Our partnership with Show Sage enables us to connect with customers across the US and Canada, and we’re excited to showcase our solutions through live demos and training at this leading industry event.”
