As well as being designed in sleek, modern colours, the club boasts an impressive Funktion One sound system along with large-scale lights and lasers, CO2 cannons, gigantic party poppers and exciting extra sensory stimulation in the form of the venue's unique Geodome - a 'cage' of thousands of LEDS that fills the venue's second room.
Club owner, Jim comments: "The Geodome idea was born about five years ago after a trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall. The sheer scale of the building structure was incredible and I simply had to try and incorporate it into a club. It wasn't until Control that I had the opportunity to do so and I am glad I did!"
The bespoke designed and manufactured Geodome space consists of one pentagon and 70 hexagons lit by LED and involving some 50 DMX Universes controlling 25,500 channels of Hi-Lumen X-ribbon 5V RGB Pixel LED, driven by a Madrix Key Ultimate media server, 256x 512 DMX with touchscreen. The Geodome also features X-Net 8 Pro Art-Net interfaces and LPV 60W 24V IP67 drivers. The sound system comprises systems from Funktion One, JBL, Allen & Heath, Yamaha and more.
For the main space, Control includes a Funktion One sound system consisting of Funktion One Sonics, Funktion One R2SH DJ Monitors , 4 x R3SH, 2 x F315, 4 x F221, 9 x 8" Mid & HF in-fills, 2 x 12" Co-axial Mid & HF in-fills , 1 x Funktion One X04 Processor. Other elements of the sound system include 1 x BSS Soundweb Lite, 3 x MC2 E25, 1 x MC2 E45, 1 x MC2 E90, 2 x Cloud VTX750 and 2 x DAP1200.
The venue offers two large DJ booths fully equipped with products from Funktion One, Allen & Heath, Pioneer, Shure and more - with ample room for MIDI controllers and laptops; secure DJ and artist lounges plus a dressing suite with kitchen and shower. Easy load-in/out and ample secure private parking for touring parties is also available.
Lighting and special effects for the venue include products from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Robe, Clay Paky, Martin Professional, Chauvet, Elation, ShowCAD, Pulsar, ArKaos, Showtec, Le Maitre and more.
