Such a demanding and varied event needed a well-designed system, which Audio Alliance supplied and installed in the 1000 seat purpose built theatre. Airplay's senior account manager, Rachel Jebb explains why she chose this particular sound rental company: "We've worked with Oli Driver and his team from Audio Alliance for several years and their knowledge and professionalism during a challenging project is essential. We knew we'd need the skill set and composure that they offer, for a job that requires lots of input and flexibility and as ever Oli and the team came prepared and delivered."
Audio Alliance chose their latest inventory for the project, using Meyer Sound's new UPJ-1P along with the well-established UPM-1Ps, all for speech reinforcement. The music playback system consisted of two arrays rigged either side of the stage, d&b C7s and B1 subs. Midas consoles and Yamaha processing controlled the show, while Instant Replay, the instant access cueing tool was employed during each show for all pre recorded music, which was edited daily on site during rehearsals using Pro Tools. All presenters were wearing the highly regarded Sennheiser SK50 radio microphone.
Audio Alliance also supplied a further system of d&b E3s, installed discreetly around the foyer area for background music and announcements. This is not the first time that Audio Alliance has worked with Levi's through Airplay. They have a long-standing relationship, which in recent years has included sales launches in Lyon, London, Milan and Barcelona.
