LFPS in the spotlight at movie premieres

Working on behalf of client Limited Edition Event Design, recent projects required custom-built solutions tailored to the associated media campaigns and movie branding.
Complementing the colourful look of Toy Story 4, LFPS built a series of frames to surround the LED video walls which flanked the red carpet. Finished in a gloss blue laminate, the surrounds incorporated over 400 LED cabochons to mimic the fairground theme in the films advertising campaign. The same look extended to a 3D ‘step and repeat’ structure used for cast photos and an interview stage.
The LFPS team were back in Leicester Square to provide decking structures for the UK premier of Disney’s The Lion King. With the premiere screened in both the Odeon and Cineworld cinemas on different sides of the site, the project required the construction of a pair of walkways and raised bridges which allowed guests and celebrities to pass from the central gardens over the perimeter railings and back down to each destination. LFPS also provided the ornate stage structure which formed the centrepiece of the event.
LFPS managing director Rob Myer comments: “Over the years, our design and fabrication department has produced an immense range of scenic elements for all kinds of outdoor projects. It’s always exciting to receive a brief for this type of production which affords us the opportunity to deliver high quality 3D environments to such prestigious events." He adds: “High profile projects of this nature can sometimes present logistical challenges, particularly when it comes to working in busy Central London locations such as Leicester Square - often in some pretty extreme weather conditions. Our in-house expertise and workshop facilities allow us to respond at speed to ensure every detail is covered and that projects are delivered on time and on budget.”
