Lighthouse LED screens are part of a unique display configuration designed by LED artist Teddy Lo. The display - totaling over 108sq.ft - will be used in the staging for various performances taking place at the event. Lo will debut a new LED visual display presentation produced specifically for the event and will exhibit his latest LED concept piece, Traffika.
The Lighthouse screens will provide the backdrop for the RUSH event, which is expected to draw more than 750 leaders in entertainment, arts and business. Lighthouse's involvement follows recent projects for the Live8 concert in London and Berlin and the G8 Summit in Scotland. The 'Art for Life' screens feature Lighthouse's newest LED technology, capable of producing extra crystal clear images with strikingly high resolution to captivate audiences for spectacular close viewing, say the company. The displays will include 86 6mm panels and 25 10mm panels, all featuring proprietary Lighthouse M4 technology for uniform colour, brightness, high definition images and extra processing power. The screens also contain brightness levels up to 3000 nits, unmatched by LCD, plasma and projection systems. The screens are also quiet and lightweight, with a fully integrated power supply, making them ideal for events such as this, say Lighthouse.
Teddy Lo, a Hong Kong-born artist now residing in New York, is considered a pioneer in the use of LED technology for artistic, commercial property design and advertising purposes. In 2003, Lo held his first LED art exhibition, Morphology, in New York, receiving widespread critical acclaim. He has since held exhibitions in numerous international locations and will premier new work this fall in Shanghai. In 2004, Lighting Magazine recognized Lo's artistic contributions to the industry by selecting him for their 'Who's Who of Lighting 2004'.
