"We understand that an LED video panel is a serious financial commitment," explains Lighthouse senior sales manager David Thilwind. "And when our customers want to renew/upgrade their existing fleet, they need the best possible return on their initial investment. The new service we are offering, which is principally for Lighthouse product, will enable our customers to sell their stock through our brokerage service and thus realize capital to re-invest in new/upgraded equipment.
"This has the added benefit of opening up a second level of market for used panels. LED video panels typically work for up to 50,000 hours and a video panel for a rental application is typically being used for around 3,000 hours per annum. This means that many used panels have a significant amount of useful hours left when they come onto the second hand market. These can then be utilized by those clients wanting a lower initial investment level."
As an added value service on top of the basic brokerage fee - which would be borne by the seller - and for an additional cost to the buyer, Lighthouse can offer a range of inspection, refurbishment and re-calibration services of the used panels being purchased.
