Hong Kong - Lighthouse will supply four LED screens to the new Macpherson Indoor Stadium in Hong Kong, which will bring enhanced community facilities to the city's area of highest population density.

Located on the edge of Mongkok - which, according to Guinness World Records, has the highest population density in the world - the new venue will replace the previous Macpherson Indoor Stadium, which plays an important role in the development of youth recreation in Hong Kong.

The existing venue has been demolished as part of a programme of redevelopment, which will see it and the surrounding area replaced with a residential complex and the new sports venue, expanded to hold 2,500 spectators.

As part of Media-Go Engineering s successful AV tender bid, for which Lighthouse was chosen as LED screen partner, two sets of 6mm resolution screens, each measuring 5.12m (w) x 2.4m (h), and one 4mm screen measuring 3.84m (w) x 3.84m (h) will be installed in the stadium to provide information and scoreboards. A fourth, 10mm, screen will be installed on the venue's exterior.

"We are very pleased that our screens have been chosen for this project, which is the result of our success in installing high quality LED screens at sporting venues throughout the world," says Peter Chan, Lighthouse managing director. "We look forward to helping provide the people of Mongkok with a truly world class new facility."
