Hong Kong - Lighthouse Technologies' returns to PLASA to demonstrate its latest high resolution R4-B and R6-B LED panels, as well as two of its new creative display products, the Tile and Mesh on Stand E81.

R4-B is a 4mm pixel pitch, black-faced panel and R6-B is a 6mm pixel pitch, black-faced panel. Both have brought a new dimension to the picture quality of Lighthouse LED screens.

By combining a superfine resolution with Lighthouse's new 3-in-1 black-faced Surface-Mount Device (SMD) LED, a much better contrast level and visual performance have been achieved. The lightweight and slim casing design makes these panels ideal for rental applications and they can also be easily installed and integrated, thus providing the best possible return on investment for customers, says the company.

The black casing of the SMD provides a truer black level within the displayed image and a contrast ratio of 3300:1 and 3800:1 respectively. The panels are able to run at lower temperatures and therefore consume less power.

Each panel has 2000 nits of brightness, enabling it to cope well with ambient light levels, a horizontal viewing angle of 140 (+70/-70), vertical viewing angle of 90 (+40/-50) and employ the single king pin for fast rigging making them suitable for the indoor rental, exhibition and conference markets.

The series also includes the superfine resolution P4-B and P6-B permanent installation panels, which are designed for applications such as branded retail outlets where low noise levels and a high contrast ratio - allowing extremely detailed content, or that using dark colours to be shown to full effect - are required.

Finally, a new departure for Lighthouse is its creative range of products, which combine the concept of LED technology and its application to a diverse array of 'landscapes' to produce an innovative display solution for a wide range of applications.

Tile is a new lighting fixture that brings together the worlds of lighting and video production, allowing abstract designs, blocks of colour and large fixed or animated illustrations to be displayed, bringing a whole new dimension to corporate and entertainment visuals, says the company.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, the Tiles T120850 feature a 12mm pixel pitch and 8 x 8 pixels per Intelligent Module (IM). With 5,000 nits of brightness from 3-in-1 SMD LEDs, contrast ratio of 2000:1 and a viewing angle of 140 degrees, users can produce creative display designs for any size or shape of site.

Mesh is designed for large-scale creative installations which will be viewed from a distance and where transparency is essential. Manufactured in epoxy-coated plastic, it is extremely light and straightforward to install in a wide variety of locations, thanks to the product's integral hanging rings.
