Lighthouse ensured every minute of the action was vividly displayed to all Hong Kong Sevens rugby fans. For the North Stadium screen, Lighthouse installed its 7mm R7-ER display, a full 30m² in size. Audiences saw real-time playback, important match details and sponsorship information displayed in exceptionally sharp color and resolution. Meanwhile the screen installed at the Sevens Village, comprising Lighthouse R7-ER 7 mm panels, gave rugby fans that couldn't get tickets plenty to cheer about. The huge 50m² LED screen delivered powerful visual impact, helping viewers feel as if they were right there in the stadium.
The tournament was broadcast in high-definition. Displaying all the action as well as dynamic advertising, the two screens offered complete versatility. Paired with Lighthouse's own video controller, each screen provided synchronised, error-free broadcasts for stunning on-site performance.
Hong Kong Rugby Football Union head of events, communication & events Warrick Dent said, "Hong Kong Sevens has been held successfully in Hong Kong for many years. Every year we also get to enjoy the benefits of Lighthouse's latest technology, which adds so much drama to the matches. The wonderful atmosphere and the success of the games just couldn't be achieved without Lighthouse's support."
