Distributed by White Light in London and Black Light in Edinburgh, the Lighting Ladder provides a much-needed flexible, space-saving and rugged rigging solution for lighting. Lightweight and extremely strong the Lighting Ladder comprises black, galvanised rope wire and 50mm aluminium rungs, which can be fixed into place at evenly spaced end stops. In addition the Lighting Ladder has been independently tested for weight loading.
"The success of the Lighting Ladder design is in its simplicity," says Siobhan Hitchen of Rope Assemblies. "It's quick to unpack and assemble. In addition the Lighting Ladder's robust versatility ensures it can be used time and time again and in a variety of configurations. It can be ordered in lengths to suit the customer requirements and rung widths can be specified from 500mm to 1m making it an incredibly versatile product."
Keith Benson, head of lighting at Glyndebourne Festival Opera, (who features in the product demonstration video, which you can find on Rope Assemblies You Tube Channel) agrees, "I love the flexibility of the Lighting Ladder - you can choose how you space the rungs to accommodate bigger or smaller luminaires, you can also choose different rung widths, allowing you to choose to rig two lamps next to each other, or one above another. When you de-rig the lamps you simply roll the ladder up and put it in the rigging box - it's fantastic for touring. I see it as a great solution to a number of common problems and space issues."
To mark the Lighting Ladder's launch Rope Assemblies will be giving away one 5 Star designed and manufactured flight case to the first ten companies to order the product.
The Lighting Ladder is the latest in a long line of innovative products from Rope Assemblies. The company has been supplying stage and rigging equipment, PPE and climbing equipment, lifting equipment, marquee wires, architectural and bracing wires, lashings, door wires, balustrade wires and many other products since 1986.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer a product that we believe will provides an ideal solution for hanging lighting in tight or difficult to access places," says Hitchen. "It's incredibly exciting to be delivering the Lighting Ladder - a new concept in hanging lights - to market, and seeing the overwhelmingly positive reactions from all our distributors and end users."
