Their control system consists of two Eos desks - one for the tech table and another on the network backstage - as well as an RVI (Remote Video Interface) and an RFR (Radio Focus Remote), allowing different members of their lighting staff to work throughout the theatre to programme shows. Qatar - Creative Communication Group was hired by QMDI Event Organizer to produce the light and sound for the third Senior Convocation of Qatar Education City. On 5 May a concert took place at Qatar Foundation Ceremonial Court featuring the Saudi Arabian singer Abdul Majid Abdullah.

The lighting system used on stage had some limitations due to the shape of venue and the stage, the only possibility was to use a truss of 12m height with no room to get any front lights. Thus, the CCG lighting crew used the Clay Paky Alpha Profile 1200 from the control area which was about 40m from the stage.

A large LED wall was used to send different contents and pictures and because of that, the quantity of light on stage had to be balanced with the Clay Paky Alpha Wash and Alpha HPE 1200.

"It always helps if you have the artist in on the final decision," said Scovill. "So I brought Brad in, and as soon as he walked into the room he pointed at one of the screens and said, 'That's the 18.' I told him, 'No, that's the Elation 20mm.'" Paisley thus confirmed the decision that Scovill had arrived at after extensive testing - to go with the Elation Professional
