The car was placed inside the Cathedral in support of Everton Football Club's end of season Players' Awards, which Mercedes-Benz, as the club's official car supplier, has supported for the previous five years.
The team at Mobile Promotions provided Mercedes-Benz's product awareness branding as well as managing the logistics for cars both inside and outside the Cathedral.
Mobile Promotions managing director Robin Carlisle comments, "Owing to the event taking place in such a spectacular, beautiful building and yet also a vibrant living church, it was essential that the correct and respectful approach was taken to ensure that no part of the architecture was damaged. We calculated the ramp angles, car's body skirting, and step positions, fully padding the steps and inserted flooring underlay's to ensure that there was no chance to damage any part of the building or the marble flooring once inside."
The team had to work to a very tight time schedule with the installation taking place just hours before the event and needing to be removed immediately after at 12.30am.
Rachael Aron, events coordinator at Liverpool Cathedral states, "All the infrastructure for the event needed to be removed as soon as it was completed so that the Cathedral could open as normal for visitors the next day. Mobile Promotions was extremely efficient and considerate of our deadlines and caused no disruption on either day. The final result looked stunning and all parties involved were really pleased."
