"Our investment decision is an immediate reaction to a great new product, which further underlines Soundcraft's renewed presence in the middle market sector. This is now the main volume area of the console market - even more so than at entry level - and our rationale was driven by being able to further penetrate that with the benefit of the Soundcraft badge."
The new GB4 carries the familiar high quality Soundcraft manufacturing hallmark. Careful attention has been given to the mechanical construction to ensure reliability under strenuous conditions, with all input channels being constructed from individual vertically-mounted PCBs, fitted to the steel chassis front panel with individually-nutted potentiometers.
Available in frame sizes from 12 to 40 channels, the GB4 is designed for installations such as churches and performance venues or for small touring sound systems. The dual-mode topology implemented to such success on the MH3 and MH4 desks allows the GB4 to be used on FOH or monitor duties, with fader control of group or aux outputs.
The GB Series also shares the same stylish looks and livery of the MH4, MH3 and LX7ii consoles. LMC Audio have confirmed that the new desks will be on active demonstration at both their London and Birmingham operations.
