UK - The year's great innovation: after an high-profile debut at the 2008 edition of the Frankfurt expo, SGM's new Giotto Digital 1500 moving head fixture marks the start of a new age in the automated lighting world, say the company.

A key feature of the Giotto Digital 1500 is the Digital Module which, due to a clever application of DLP (TI) technology, enables the Giotto to project graphic effects with the brightness and speed of traditional moving head fixtures. "Giotto Digital 1500 is the first and only moving head fixture on the market able to create all-digital, completely customizable graphic effects, finally overcoming the typical limits of effects generated by traditional gobo, iris, beam shaper and zoom components," the company states.

Giotto Digital 1500 will be presented for the first time in the UK at BAFTA - the British Academy of Film and Television Arts headquarters in the heart of London - on Monday 19 May 2008 from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.
