Australia - After the successful release of the 2U Redback dimmer late last year, Australian control systems manufacturer LSC Lighting Systems has announced the release of a 4U version of the Redback specifically targeted at markets that use UK outlets. The new six-channel dimmer provides 12 x 15A UK outlets all located on one side of the front panel ensuring that the controls can still be accessed when using a cord patch. The rotatable side panels also allow the dimmer to be wall mounted, rack-mounted or to free stand.

The new package inherits all the features of the Redback family, including a full 512-channel DMX softpatch; Min & Max levels and a choice of individual fade curves per channel. With the built- in memories, individual fade times and chases, Redback can even run in stand-alone mode making it suitable for museums, presentation and retail environments, says the company. There's also a MIDI option, allowing the user to connect a MIDI sequencer or keyboard to the Redback to trigger the dimmer outputs.
