Originally built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the 16th century, Storkyrkan has been the scene of countless royal coronations, weddings, baptisms and funerals. The lighting in Storkyrkan was upgraded for the televised wedding by Hofmann Teknik and Ljusdesign Sverige. Due to the location and the historic, fragile interior, Ljusdesign and Peder Lindbom decided to avoid cables and go wireless with CRMX Nova.
"Choosing LumenRadio's CRMX Nova wireless system for the lighting controls was a natural choice, given that it was crucial for the installation to work together with the many other wireless systems that were in close proximity. The CRMX wireless installation was custom built into the fixtures and everything worked as a charm", said Patric Nord, sales and project manager at Hofmann Teknik.
LumenRadio custom built a CRMX wireless DMX system for seamless integration into the 75 fixtures in the ancient church.
"Upgrading an 800 year old church with state-of-the-art lighting, while preserving the interior and only reusing the old electrical wiring was a challenge. We used CRMX OEM modules to integrate the wireless controls directly into the fixtures so everything was beautifully hidden from plain sight", explains LumenRadio CEO Per Hulthén.
