"Our design philosophy is to develop products that are technically superlative in functionality and that also combine the desired physical and handling characteristics with aesthetic appeal."
The management team leading Lumonic includes Dr James A Powell whose reputation in LED Applied Technology is recognised throughout the industry. "James's technology created some of the most innovative lighting products to hit the LED Entertainment market in recent years," says Edwards. "It was his electronics, software and LED technology that was behind both the iconic '1044' and Par 90 products." More recently, Powell's electronics technology has been behind the LED lighting used for U2's 360° Tour and Celine Dion in Las Vegas, the company says.
"Our modular design that also allows us to 'roll out' products into the architectural and retail markets was also very much appreciated. A number of potential customers had businesses that straddled both the entertainment and architectural markets and they understood the synergy and savings that could be made through our design philosophy as well as the flexibility of the modular design, multi-head facility and remote diagnostics.
Edwards said: "We have made some valuable new contacts and potential customers in many countries and strengthened some very important established business relationships. We also enjoyed ourselves immensely!"
He added: "We will be very busy over the coming weeks producing our products and following up with new potential customers."
