The new Mackie LP48 expansion card brings a number of enhancements to the already powerful TT24 in three possible configurations. First, the card can be configured in Lake Loudspeaker Processor mode as a 4-input by 8-output loudspeaker processor to provide eight channels of balanced analogue output with line drive capability. Second, it can provide the user with up to 12 channels of Lake-designed insert EQ processing including the true response Lake Ideal Graphic EQ and Lake Mesa EQ with asymmetrical filters. Finally, users can configure the card with six channels of insertable EQ processing and a 2-input by 4-output Lake Loudspeaker Processor.
With the LP48 card installed, the TT24's onboard 5" LCD touch screen will provide significant control of the Lake algorithms. In addition, the TT24's control interface for PC will integrate a Lake-style GUI for easy access and configuration.
Justin Baird, product manager at Lake Technology Limited commented: "Lake is very excited to have Mackie as the first supplier of our live sound processing technology in the form of console plug-ins. We are looking forward to seeing Lake's EQ and speaker processing technologies reach more live sound engineers through the TT24 platform."
"Lake Technology is without question an industry leader in the development of exceptional DSP algorithms for audio processing," added John Boudreau, product manager for the Mackie TT24. "Incorporating their technology into the TT24 not only legitimizes its place among much more expensive consoles, but affirms Mackie's commitment to providing real high-level performance at an affordable price."
