Central to this year's event was a 23m x 5m 10mm outdoor LED video wall provided by Maestra and run on the company's new Dataton 6 Watchout servers which were linked with Hawk-Eye Innovations software to provide real-time game feedback, analysis and results to spectators.
Maestra designed and produced a range of custom video content that played during the opening of the tournament each evening.
Inside a private pool-house also on the property, Maestra provided a further 6 x 6mm LED screens running from a separate Watchout Server. This was used to show stunning visuals and more custom content around one of the key pre match event areas.
Tom Clements, managing partner at Maestra Dubai commented, "The SMK tennis tournament presents its own unique set of challenges in asking us to deliver large-scale event production in the confines of a private residence with a female-only team. Detailed design, preparation and planning on our part helped ensure everything onsite went smoothly and efficiently."
The LED feature was complimented with an impressive lighting rig comprising over 60 Martin and Clay Paky moving lights all run from a ChamSys MQ100 Pro console.
Sarah Drakeley, director at SMK Tennis, said, "Maestra is unique in its ability to turn our seemingly impossible requests into reality, without issue, despite a degree of technical difficulty. We know that our projects are in safe hands and would highly recommend the Maestra team to anyone thinking of staging an event."
