UK - AV specialist, VDC Trading has launched a series of new cable and connector ranges. that represent "the first wave of an expansion that will see hundreds of new stock items added to the VDC Trading catalogue in the coming weeks - in direct response to customer demand".

Commenting on the firm's expansion plans, VDC Trading's CEO Niall Holden said, "The excitement for me in business is the constant need for change and improvement. I always enjoy the challenge, and this range expansion has been no different.

"When you're adding even one new product there is no half measure. The factories can't make 300m of cable to 'see how it goes' and, whilst our MOQs are quite high, so are our quality requirements. As a result, we have carried out a huge amount of R&D in preparing to launch this range of new cables and connectors - and we are very pleased with the outcome."

The new ranges include: VDC Contractor HDMI v1.4 standard speed assemblies; Van Damme HDMI v1.4 high speed assemblies; ICMF-Conn Compression connectors; VanDamme Hi-Fi Series range extension; VanDamme Plasma Grade 75 Ohm Coaxial cable - available in yellow; VanDamme Tour Grade Classic XKE Miniature Star quad, and VanDamme Pro Grade Classic XKE Super Flexible 1 Pair Install.

Dug Guthrie, technical director at VDC Trading said, "All these new ranges have been added in direct response to numerous requests from customers. In particular, we are delighted to now offer a broad range of F-Conn compression connectors encompassing both straight and right angle BNC and phono connectors, F connectors and HD-SDI specific BNCs. These are precision-engineered products of the highest quality, which offer all the advantages associated with compression connectors.

"Our ambition is to offer our customers the most complete range of essential AV cabling and connectivity products available, whilst maintaining the quality, robustness and affordability on which our success is built. New ranges coming into stock shortly include Van Damme Tourcat Extended Distance Cat 5Ecables, Van Damme HD-SDI digital coaxials and 3GHz SMPTE 424M compliant BNC connectors, and there is much more to come."
