The company which has supplied equipment to bands including Muse, Biffy Clyro and Simple Minds plans to boost turnover with expansion into new market sectors and the addition of a third branch in the near future.
Former sales director, Derek Blair who joined the company in 1994 completed the multi-million pound management buyout of The Warehouse Sound Services last month to become the sole owner and managing director of the business. Derek Blair commented, "The Warehouse Sound Services has a proud history, and this is a great moment to reflect on what the company has achieved. Over the last 35 years we have built the business bit by bit by carefully developing client and supplier relationships. The Warehouse has grown to become the largest professional audio provider in Scotland and the North of England. We have become renowned as a leading name for the hire, sales of professional audio equipment. The vision of our founders Cameron and Allan has propelled us to the forefront of the global pro-audio and live event industry. "
Fundamental to the company's success is its partnerships with world-class audio brands that include Shure, Sennheiser, Avid, Midas, Yamaha, EM Acoustics and RCF. The company is one of only two sales partners of d&b audiotechnik in the UK.
