The room has to be used in several different ways including, green room, canteen and conference facility. Whitaker says: "The room is used in just about every orientation, so a system with good, clean and accurate dispersion characteristics was important. They also needed the ability, when required, to produce a fair degree of level in the room as events might vary from spoken word to a small band. Luke had suggested a number of systems he had used in the room before, on hire, but I suggested he had a listen to the EX 10 system and thanks to KV2's Andy Austin-Brown, we had this arranged within a couple of days."
Austin-Brown says: "We knew that the EX 10 Active Powered enclosures with their small footprint, low weight and aesthetically pleasing presentation would satisfy the client, comfortably exceeding their expectations by providing a very flexible plug and play system that can be used with or without the accompanying EX2.2 subs, depending on the application, whilst providing outstanding audio performance."
Whitaker says: "Once the units were listened to, it was a simple task of accepting the client's decision to opt for a special build in the required pantone colour, I'd call it blue. The system was built, shipped and installed within the month."
