However, all eyes will be on the MLA Compact. Aimed at a wider range of touring and installed sound applications than the original MLA (Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array), in a smaller and lighter version, the MLA Compact delivers the groundbreaking cellular technology to a wider range of applications that do not require the full power and throw of the full-size MLA, or where a smaller, lighter system is required.
Sharing the same sonic attributes of the flagship MLA the new system's compact size (W: 788mm x H: 280mm x D: 500mm) belies its output capabilities. Scalable and versatile, the array design combines with fast, automated Display 2.1 intelligent software to deliver a dramatically increased level of performance and coverage consistency. Bringing together the latest technologies in acoustic design, amplification, DSP and optimisation software, MLA Compact arrays can be remotely controlled from the supplied wireless tablet running the latest VU-NET control software (V1.2.0).
Already a major success in applications where a discreet solution is required (such as houses of worship), OmniLine delivers consistent audio coverage with unprecedented accuracy, using just one amplifier channel per array. By utilising a complement of unique, Martin Audio designed drivers, and mechanical alignment techniques, simple EQ and limiting is the only processing required.
Another popular addition to Martin Audio's new generation portfolio is the DD6 - an ultra-versatile and compact, multi-angled enclosure based on Differential Dispersion horn technology aimed at the touring, AV and theatre segments.
Finally, Martin Audio will show its new XD12 and XD15 for the touring and theatre sector, launched at PLASA last September. This sets out to define the ultimate in performance and versatility for fixed-dispersion, two-way loudspeaker systems.
