Jason Baird presents the CDD 6524 installation series
Germany - With the highly anticipated world launch of its CDD installation series Martin Audio was able to report its most positive Frankfurt Prolight+Sound experience in recent memory.

The international trade press thronged onto the stand on the opening morning to hear the presentation of this new dedicated installation loudspeaker range, confirming the company's commitment to significant R&D in the Contractor market in a similar vein to which it has brought to the touring market. Combining distinctive curved enclosures with unique Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology, it is designed to deliver ultimate coverage consistency to venues requiring cutting-edge technology from a stylish enclosure.

With the momentum building steadily, by the time Martin Audio took over the Kap Europa Conference Centre for a demo at the end of the opening day, more than 175 guests had registered to experience the CDD series system's first live demo - and join in with the celebration event.

R&D Director, Jason Baird, made the presentation before inviting the audience to walk the coverage pattern of a singular CDD12. The audience also had the opportunity to listen to the smaller enclosures in the bar room, and more full-on sound, with the CDD15 and the double 18 subs (CSX218), in the specially constructed nightclub zone.

The launch of Martin Audio's new Display software (v2.1.10) reaffirmed the company's leadership in the sound design and deployment of arrays from predicted to actual results.

The more social side of the company was reflected in the publication of a new coffee table book about the company's history, seen for the first time, as well as the infamous Thursday night stand party that kept guests' glasses full with a variety of concoctions.

Stated Wolfgang Garçon, head of the Martin Audio's German distributors, United-b, "This is truly the best show that Martin Audio has put on. All my sales guys are very excited by CDD - we believe it is a product that we can sell every day, and our customers are going to be truly delighted."

"This has been as good as any year I have represented Martin Audio at Frankfurt," said director of sales, Simon Bull. "There was a really positive vibe around the stand and the brand, and my sales guys from dawn till dusk had back to back meetings."

The final word came from Martin Audio MD, Luke Ireland. "This was my first Frankfurt and to be honest the bar has been set very high right now. I was delighted with the stand presentation - the celebration event was oversubscribed and the positive reaction to CDD has been beyond our expectations."
