The new Maxedia Digital Media Composer is designed to provide a new level of digital lighting creativity. Maxedia, which includes integrated DMX control, provides full control of both lighting and video elements and promises various advantages over other digital media servers including a maximum of 20 layers simultaneously, 3D effects with unique real-time manipulation, programming and playback without requiring a DMX lighting console, the use of no more than 25 DMX channels, and more, at a competitive price.
The new Maxxyz Playback Wing is the first module in a new Wing System, expanding the console's functionality and adding the ability to customize and add more direct access. It also expands the direct playback access of Maxxyz by three times and allows the Maxxyz operator to navigate through a show with even greater speed.
Ether2DMX allows users to increase the number of Maxxyz DMX universes by four and/or easily place DMX universes remotely on any TCP/IP Ethernet network. It can also be used as an output device for the upcoming Maxxyz PC or as an input device for the Martin ShowDesigner (MSD), and can interface with any Artnet-compatible third party product.
Other new products on show on Martin's three LDI booths include the Ethernet Switch, Martin ShowDesigner Gold and Silver, which now comes in two versions, a full Gold version with new features such as Fast Net-Render and Live Video feed in real-time 3D Visualizer, and a streamlined Silver version; Wizard Extreme, an uprated version of this popular club lighting effect with new reflection and wild gobo patterns plus improved focus control and more; and DMX control for the Martin Egolution with the Ego X4, a DMX controllable flower effect. The new Mania SCX500 is the first scanner in the Mania series, itself expanded with new effects, controllers and a promo projector for LDI.
Mach speakers include an expanding C-Range of pro quality speakers for installation applications. Co-designed by contractors for contractors, Martin says the C-Range is a breakthrough in installation speaker design and easy installation. The C-Range grows with the launch of a professional series of moulded speakers designed for in-fill applications, the CI series - aimed at commercial applications such as cafés, clubs, department stores, conference rooms and hotels. It is partnered by the CW 112 Corner and CW 110 Flat 12" dual voice coil subwoofers. Also on show is the Mach CN series, developed for natural sound reproduction in near field applications, and the Mach CM series of dedicated high power top boxes for medium-throw applications in medium- to large-size venues.
Finally, Jem Smoke shows several new products including an innovative multi-head fog system, Jem Hydra, ideal for large areas that require fog effects delivered from multiple locations. Jem also have an updated version of the industry standard Jem AF-1 fan, as well as an update of its versatile low fog generator and the Glaciator X-Stream, a self-contained, plug-and-play, low fog generating system.
