Luxembourg - 31 January saw Codex Productions of Luxembourg incorporate a host of Martin MAC moving heads and Martin LC Series LED panels at the launch of Jaguar's new XF model car. The event was held in the local showroom of Jaguar Luxembourg.

Codex Productions, with a rental inventory of over 200 moving heads, is Luxembourg's market leader in the presentation of high quality events. The lighting concept for the XF launch consisted of moving heads, all Martin, as well as a high impact LED wall. The equipment list included 20 MAC 600 NT washlights, 14 MAC 250 Washes, 12 MAC 250 Entours, four MAC 2000 Performances, four MAC 700 Profiles and Martin LC Series LED panels.

The Jaguar showroom's front window was filled with six columns of Martin LC Series LED panels, used to highlight Jaguar logos as well as a commercial video. Codex had previously used the LC panels only as a decorative element but for this event wanted to show custom images and video."We did not really know what to expect or if the result would be good, especially using only 12 LC 2140 modules in a 6m x 4m wall," said Patrick Risch of Codex Productions. "But we were astonished by the result. From even a few meters away one could recognize the new Jaguar running in and out of the wall. The LC is an amazing product and considering its price it is the 'must have' product for every innovative company."

Inside the showroom, the car was hidden behind a semi-transparent fabric and eventually revealed using a Kabuki drop. MAC 250 Washes as well as MAC 600 washlights positioned on truss totems were programmed to wash the car in brilliant hues while MAC 700 Profiles were used to project decorative texture onto the fabric and for general effects. After the reveal the Jaguar XF was spotlighted beneath an outdoor Arc Roof stage using four Martin MAC 2000 Performances.

Visitors were reportedly impressed and the launch of the new XF was an outstanding success. The Martin gear was supplied by Codex Productions through Martin's Belgian representative, EVDV.
