The MAC 250 Wash joins the MAC 250 Krypton and MAC 250 Entour profile spots to complete the new generation MAC 250 Series. The MAC 250 Wash is designed for environments where powerful colour wash effects are required from a compact 250-watt fresnel moving head such as touring and special event applications, television studios, club installations, and retail and leisure environments.
Features include efficient reflector technology for greater output, fast and quiet movement, a variable frost filter for zoom effect and a CMY color mixing system with a complementing color wheel.
A multi-layered, dichroic reflector gives the MAC 250 Wash an exceptional output. A Philips MSD 250/2 discharge lamp and the fresnel lens gives it a wide (19 to 35 degree) /beam spread range with uniform coverage. For added flexibility, a simple change to a 59 degree diffuser lens (included) makes wide beam angles up to 66 degrees possible.
Other features include a CMY color mixing system, replaceable colour slots, variable frost filter, enhanced high resolution dimming system similar to the MAC 2000 and low noise levels.
The MAC 700 Profile, in a similarly-sized housing to the MAC 550, packs in a great deal of power with an efficient 700-watt double ended lamp and new glass reflector technology with a superior optical system. It features a full CMY color mixing system and 8 position colour wheel, 'Quiet Mode' option for the theatre market, a gobo animation system, unique effects such as rising flames, drifting clouds, driving rain, turbulent water and much more, two gobo wheels, rotating gobo wheel with 16-bit accuracy; and a 9 slot plus open, fixed gobo wheel.
The fully motorized zoom is capable of beam angles from 14 to 30 degrees and fully motorized zoom can achieve any beam angle within the range.
Also new from Martin at PLASA are the Mania EFX500, a powerful, new 250W halogen effect light in the Mania series of portable effects; a speed boost for the Maxxyz console with the release of version 1.5; and the new RainMAC, a simple way to ensure that the show goes on by keeping rain off a MAC fixture.
