Mavericks reflect style of La Folie Douce Val d'Isère

Produced by Romain Plantier and the team at L&Db, the lighting design is anchored by a collection of Chauvet Professional fixtures. “The Folice Douce Val d’Isère troupe give us their general lighting scheme,” said Plantier. “We are then pretty free to choose the fixtures and colors we want.”
What Romain Plantier and the team wanted this year was a collection of Chauvet Professional Maverick MK2 Wash and WELL Fit fixtures, taken from L&Db own inventory.
Arranged six units across upstage horizontal truss and four units on vertical stage-left and stage-right poles, the RGBW moving Maverick fixture are used to create vibrantly colored stage washes as well as dynamic aerial effects. “The integrated macros of this fixture are important in our design,” said Romain Plantier. “They allow us to create shapes in the beams that give our show a lot of dynamic movement and life.”
Adding more richly textured colour to the event is a group of WELL Fit fixtures. Arranged throughout the cocktail area near the stage, these IP65 rated RGBA up lighting units lend a stylish touch to the festivities in terms of the light they create as well as their overall appearance.
“In addition to creating colourful looks, the WELL Fits look very elegant in their own right - thanks to their chrome color casing,” said Romain Plantier. “This makes them very well-suited for this application. Style is a very important part of what La Folie Douce Val d'Isère is all about, and we want our show to reflect this identity.”
