Media Powerhouse is an audio visual solutions provider with experience of delivering high quality AV services to high profile events. It is paramount that every delegate attending the event must experience the same level of quality and clarity - no matter where they are seated - no matter the type of event.
To get the best video quality and ensure that the event was future proof, Media Powerhouse delivered equipment that supported High Definition. These included Christie Roadster HD18K projectors, one of the brightest HD resolution projectors on the market. This delivered dynamic HD images via the Media Powerhouse fibre system to maximise the 8 X 3.5m screen in the main auditorium.
For switching and graphics, Media Powerhouse used the Barco Encore 3ME Presentation switcher which is one of the most advanced systems available. The processor can support multiple input resolutions and types that can be manipulated into any of six Picture in Picture (PIP) windows over a selectable high resolution background channel. Couple this with the ability to cascade or link processes to enlarge single screen systems or to achieve the best results in widescreen.
Folsom MatrixPro matrix switchers were used to handle the video work flow through the Encore systems utilising both the 16 x 16 HD;SDI and a 12 x 8 RGBHV variants.
Media Powerhouse deployed two Panasonic HPX-500 HD Camcorders as the front end of the HD Fly pack for image acquisition. This enabled the client to not only record the vision to TX tape and camera ISO cutaways onboard, but also to continue the HD workflow with true HD images on screen. Panasonic AJ HD1400 VTR decks were used for both the HD TX record and for all the HD playback.
To maximise sound clarity in the Main Auditorium where the audience numbered over 1200 delegates, Media Powerhouse rigged a d&b line array system consisting of Q1 and Q7 speakers. The principle behind the Line Array system ensures the coverage throughout an auditorium is consistent from one seat to the next from one set of flown speakers, therefore eliminating the need to have multiple speakers flown throughout the venue. The d&b Q system delivered crystal clear quality which enhanced the sound so that the audio was enjoyed throughout the audience.
Along with the sound and video for the main auditorium, Media Powerhouse also deployed similar video and audio systems for the four breakout areas where seminars and supplementary presentations took place throughout each day. This ensured that delegates experienced consistency in the quality of the AV right throughout the Annual Conference, no matter where a presentation was taking place.
As part of the Annual Conference on the penultimate day, the CIPD also hosts its prestigious People Management Award. This includes a gala dinner with a live band on stage for over 1100 delegates. The 2009 event was hosted by celebrity impersonator Jon Culshaw. The stage set in the Main Auditorium provided by Media Powerhouse was especially designed to be flexible to accommodate this set change.
Media Powerhouse worked with 20/20 Productions to ensure that the 2009 Annual Conference was a success. It was once again on time and on budget. The expertise provided by
