GSMPRJCT was the consultant for this project. The company made the entire exhibit design and production with the support of Techni-Logique, an experienced Canadian audiovisual services integrator. Techni-Logique was in charge of the AV devices installation and hired XYZ Cutural Technology to supply, make the integration and programming of the Medialon system.
Located in the Bell Centre - the centre stage for entertainment in Montreal - the Montreal Canadiens Hall of Fame offers visitors nearly 10,000sq.ft of rare and never-before-seen artifacts gathered by fans accross the country for over 100 years.
Through interactive shows and exhibits, visitors can relive the Stanley Cups, the legendary performances and rivalries, step inside a replica of a 1950s train car and experience a life-size version of the 1976-77 Canadiens dressing room.
"Medialon was chosen based on its proven reliability in critical environment," states Marc Porlier, senior account manager at Techni-Logique. "Control of the complete exhibition floor was a prerequisite as it needed to be operated by only one person. Extensive monitoring and automation of the equipment was required to minimize human intervention." One Medialon Manager V5 Lite Show and Media Control software controls the entire lighting and video systems inside the Hall of Fame.
A Medialon Audio Server (MAS II) with 24 channels has also been installed in the Hall of Fame where multiple audio feeds were required to playback in sync. "We found the MAS to meet our requirements for a fully controllable audio server allowing for asynchronous playback of different files at the same time. Some rooms have 7 channel playbacks," says Porlier.
