"DJ academy is doing something very unique in the region. They groom enthusiasts and transform them into professional DJs. Therefore during the training period it is crucial that students know what good audio gear feels and sounds like. I am pleased with their decision to select HK Audio as the loudspeaker brand for their course," commented Grayson Soares, operations executive from Melody House Musical Instruments.
Melody House supplied HK Audio Icon Series including two IC112LA speakers, four IC118BA subwoofers and two Pro15XA enclosures for installation into the Academy's main teaching room.
"HK Audio for us is the perfect combination of high-quality; extreme sound-levels at an affordable price that DJs and clubs need. We recommend those speaker systems to many DJs and opening bars/clubs as we believe they are the right choice," explained Dieter Dratwa, manager of DJ Academy. "DJs expect that the guests experience their music with a pumping sound that lets your chest "feel" the baseline. Furthermore good speakers need to be easy to handle. That's why we love HK Audio as the manufacturer thinks of different situations upfront and builds-in all these features."
A second room, dedicated to help students improve their scratching skills, was equipped with a Rane Sixty Two Z mixer and a blue version of the Serato Scratch Live SL3 USB interface, which was supplied by the manufacturer's regional distributor NMK Electronics.
"In our Academy DJ students learn on a Sixty Two Z special edition which has two Laptop connections. This is ideal to switch several DJs in a night and hand-over one performance to another," added Mr Dratwa. "Rane is innovative and is never the last in line to deliver a feature to DJs."
