The introduction of Ovation 6 and Pyramix 10 moves all products to 64bit operation
Switzerland/USA - Merging Technologies' Ovation 6 now brings the power of an integrated 3D rendering engine, for use with both replayed sounds and an almost limitless number of live inputs, says the company. The 3D engine now in Ovation is set to "completely change the way AV installers and live events production staff will plan their coming projects".

Ovation consolidated its position in 2014, with an impressive roster of new users relevant to InfoComm attendees. Major new museum installations, live events, theatres, opera houses realised that the combination of reliable and repeatable operation coupled with the ease with which all parameters can be programmed and interfaced with other devices, provided compelling reasons for specifying Ovation.

However, the industry's requirements move ahead at a pace and sound designers were creating ever more realistic soundscapes. Immersive sound is becoming part of cinema and home audio but this has now spread to live events, product launches and even museums. The need to accurately place mono, stereo or multichannel sounds in a given space became paramount.

The introduction of Ovation 6 and Pyramix 10 moves all products to 64bit operation exclusively bringing new features and simplifying the future development path. A range of new VS3 and VST plug-ins further increases the creative flexibility of the sound design or playout capabilities of the Ovation system. Eucon and Oasis control allow a number of popular mixers and controllers to be utilised if a more tactile and dynamic user experience is needed.

Merging's networked audio interfaces, Horus and Hapi have also found a place in many installations. The company just announced that over 400 Hapi units have been shipped in less than 12 months.
