Merging's head of sales and marketing, Ken Barnsley, explains the company's decision to open a dedicated British office. "The UK market for Merging has grown incredibly fast over the last four years, to a level where we felt it important to be able to support our customers directly. Additionally, the introduction of the new Ramses console control system for Pyramix and VCube, with our new network streaming technology for sound and picture, now enables us to offer a total workflow solution for film and television post-production applications, and this in turn requires a dedicated team exclusively concentrating on Merging products."
Claude Cellier, Merging's president, adds: "Every successful company always reaches a point in a particular country where a decision has to be taken to establish a direct support and sales office to ensure that the growth of the market continues in that territory. The UK is a special market for Merging and it is very clear to all of us that we need a direct presence here. Total Audio Solutions have done a great job helping us to establish the UK market, and we will continue to work very closely with them in the future."
Merging UK is a partnership between Merging in Switzerland, Paul Mortimer and Richard Bowen, a UK businessman with a background in the IT and telecommunications industry and experience of several successful Internet startup ventures.
