Adamson's debut at the Kool Haus was designed by Towers Productions. Sean Richards mixed for Metric and commented: "Mixing Metric on an Adamson Y10 system, I am getting the clarity, range and focus I need for their inherent subtleties, along with just enough bite to justify a rock band, who needs to be heard AS a rock band, in their increasingly energetic shows. I would suggest that of all of the line array systems available in a crowded market, Adamson has come in very near to (if not at) the top of the heap."
The mains for the Kool Haus consisted of 12 Adamson Y10s, one SX 18 and one CB-1 per side, filled the corners and sides of the wide, rectangular shaped room. 12 Adamson SX Subs were stacked three wide and two high directly beneath the main array by the stage, in order to not interfere with the line of sight for any area in the club. All Adamson's speakers are powered by Lab.Gruppen amplifiers, and processed with XTA. Richards mixes on a Midas Heritage 1000 console. A Midas Siena is used for stage monitoring.
Richards added: "The system's versatility is also a huge factor in this tour's success, allowing for set up in venues ranging from hundreds to thousands with no hassles at all." In Canada, venues are utilizing one of two rigs provided by Towers Productions - the smaller club rig consists of 16 SpekTrix, four Spektrix Subs, four LX10s for near fills and two CB1s for front fills.
Metric's US dates will be performed on club's house systems, in exception of Metric's SXSW appearance at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, Texas, where long-time Adamson partner Big House Sound uses Y18s, and several other Adamson products for a handful of the festivals perennial venues. The last stop of the Scheduled Tour takes place in April at The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California.
